Soooo sexy and romantic!

I don't know if I would classify this book as straight erotica as the heart of it is in the character of Bruce. Yes, it opens with a hot sex scene and has many others after that, but I think it's more of a good story with a lot of sex, which makes it very sexy. Yet, it's also romantic, too, and we see how much Bruce misses and loves his wife who left him. There's a bit of a plot twist at the end that really gives the whole thing a jump and made me happy I'd taken the time to read it. If you like sexy and romantic--but not corny!!!--books, this one might be one for you. It's no Harlequin (thank God).

Enticing, insatiable!

Kim Corum has penned another winner. Now She's Gone, like Breaking the Girl, mixes eroticism with subtle romance. The result is an insatiable and riveting novel.
Bruce wakes one morning and finds that his wife is gone. Saddened, he reads some journals she's left behind in which she describes various erotic exploits. However, the journals reveal much more than just the sexual adventures she ventured into with her past lovers...
As said earlier, this is Corum's best work since Breaking the Girl. I couldn't put this book down. The descriptions are exquisite and provocative, the language fiendish and uninhibited. I look forward to reading more of Corum's work. Her work is truly compelling.

This is the second Kim Corum book I've read and I have to say they keep getting better. The weay she can intertwine two different stories together is amazing and the sex scenes aren't to bad, either. This was one of the best I've read all year.

A book we cannot ignore

When I first read Psychic Discoveries Behind the Iron Curtain in 1971, I realized that we had better not let an ESP gap become the next missle gap. At the time I was working as a systems engineer on a project that was not practical with the technology that was then available, and decided that I wanted to research the ideas in this book instead. However, when I told them this at work, I was let go the next day. If I was going to research these issues I would have to do it on my own time using my own money. While we still don't have all the answers, or even know all the questions that must be asked to unravel these mysteries, much work has been done by many different researchers both here and abroad to at least verify that these psychic phenomena are real, if not always reproducible at will. It turns out that much depends on sunspot activity and the phases of the moon insofar as it affects changes in the Earth's magnetic field. There is an updated version of this book that consists of a condensed versiou of PDBTIC plus an update on research conducted behind the Iron Curtain since the overthrow of communism in Eastern Europe. Ironically, one of the most important discussions in the original edition was omitted in the new one, indicating that even the authors failed to appreciate its significance. Unfortunately, a bedbug problem forced me to have to get rid of most of my books including this one, so I was thrilled to find a copy readily available at AMAZON.COM I plan to purchase the new edition too. For anyone interested in psychic phenomena, this is probably the best first book to read.

An important, modern classic!

This is a little known book that changed the world, as we knew it. As an adept occultist, I was thrilled to obtain an excellent example of a first addition of this 'infamous' work. This is the book that caused US intelligence agencies to soil their shorts! It prompted the CIA to initiate the funding for "Remote Viewing" research and training programs - which culminated in the "Stargate" program. Remote viewing has now become part of our collective popular culture. Courses (often taught by some of the official program participants), are still growing in popularity and number. Even movies have been made about this phenomenon. The data obtained on remote viewing has become important to consciousness research. And modern consciousness research has change the paradigm of how we define us - what it is to be human. We are now seeing a radical redefining of what it is to be human. And this little known book was the catalyst for the land-slide change in our post modern definition of humanity.

Inflential Early 70s Book on ESP

An introduction to subjects like Kirlian photography and telepathy. This book may have caused alarm in high circles. The Warrior's Edge: Front-Line Strategies for Victory on the Corporate Battlefield refers to a DIA report titled "Controlled Offensive Behavior - USSR" that expressed concern about Soviet ESP developments.

One of the book's subjects is Wolf Messing, a man who demonstrated his psychic ability to Stalin by brainwashing his guards into thinking that he was secret police chief Beria and so was waved through all of Stalin's personal security checkpoints. Other subjects include Leonid Vasiliev who pioneered experiments in mental suggestion and Felix Ziegel, who wrote of how UFOs frightened some peasants of Kazakhstan back into church.

The authors visited the USSR in the late 60s, when it seems that orthodox science there was, for a short time, open to exploration of the mysteries of the unknown. The book features an interesting introduction from the always insightful Ivan Sanderson who makes the valid point that "parapsychology" is an awful word as psychology is not a science. He suggests "paraphysics" as a replacement.

The authors seem too credulous at times. For instance, the "blind seeress of Bulgaria", Vanga Dimitrova is spoken of as "a great psychic on a par with Jeane Dixon". I've seen a few of Ms. Dixon's prophecies and she seems to have been wrong far more often than she was right. Also, they refer to apparent fraudster Madame H.P. Blavatsky, whose "psychic powers ripened to perfection in India". No mention is made of the investigation made by Richard Hodgson of the British Society for Psychic Research, who found that fraud was rife and that there was no evidence whatsoever for Blavatsky's purported psychic powers.

The book provides instructions for construction of a pyramid in which to place blunt razor blades, to reportedly make them sharp again. It is possible that this book launched the "pyramid power" craze of the 1970s.

Overall, despite its faults I found it to be an entertaining read and some of the Soviets interviewed provide a few tips for readers hoping to develop their own psychic abilities.

"The Pajama Elves" might just become a new Christmas classic. Hayden Edwards has created a wonderful picture book, told in rhyme, that explains how Santa makes sure children are asleep when he comes to their homes. On Christmas Eve, magical pajamas, which have been specially tailored and sewn by the elves, are left for anxious youngsters to find. As soon as their excited little bodies are encased in the snuggly garments, a delightful sleepiness quickly sends children to dreamland so Santa can do his job in secret. Kids and adults alike will enjoy the unusual illustrations which are key in bringing the story to life. You won't be disappointed by this little bit of Christmas magic.

If you and your little children or big children or you and your spouse wear matching pajamas on Christmas Eve, Christmas morning or all day Christmas Day, this is the book for you!! This book is perfect for all of those families who love Christmas traditions or love starting their own special Christmas custom. Small ones will not be able to read this on their own, however, when you read it aloud to them, you are giving them a foundation for beginning reading skills. The rhyming words are perfect, even older children will enjoy figuring them out! This book could even boost your creativity and encourage you to even begin a family tradition during other special holidays or events throughout the year. Great purchase!!!

At a young age Kevin started out on the television series Bearcats!, then traveled over to The Waltons, playing the brat and bully, Lou Wilson. From Walton's Mountain he traveled to the big city in such shows as What's Happening, St. Elsewhere, General Hospital, and The Young and the Restless. From there he took off into outer space appearing in such television series as Otherworld and Star Trek: Deep Space 9. Kevin returned to Earth settling in as the resident bigot on the television series Homefront. Kevin has appeared in Desperate Housewives, Prison Break, MadMen, Criminal Minds, Cold Case, The Sopranos, 24, Alias and American Crime Story to name but a few. Films include: Charlie Valentine, Means and Ends, Little Heroes-Part 3, Wild Fire, Abe and Bruno, and the award-winning short Le Petomane: Parti Avec Le Vent, in which Kevin stars as the turn of the century French doctor obsessed with the strange anatomy of one of the Moulin Rouge's most famous performers. I've read every book about auditioning out there and this is the only one that goes into specific detail about the difference between film and TV, every genre and every size role. It made a huge difference in my very first audition after reading...I booked!

I am comfortable and confident on stage but my first TV audition scared the bejesus out of me. It was such a different world! This book makes that world so much more understandable for me. It's loaded with valuable details (that nobody seems to share). I can’t wait for my next TV audition and use what I’ve learned from this book.

This book arrived but it was very old, with yellowed pages and a musty smell. The pages seem delicate and about to fall out of the binding. Not one of the best books purchased.
