About the Author
The author served two tours of duty in Vietnam as a combat helicopter pilot. He flew in the Army for seven years and was a flight instructor. He remained in the US Army Reserves and retired after twenty eight years as a CW-5. While in the USAR he participated in numerous Protective Service Missions around the world. Michael became a PSM Instructor and trained various law enforcement personnel. He also taught Anti-Terrorism Driving. Michael served as an officer in the Tacoma Police Department and retired as a Detective in the Homicide unit. While with TPD he was an Instructor in Officer Survival, Combat Pistol and Shotgun and Unarmed Defensive Tactics. He spent a total of thirty years in law enforcement and also retired from the Division of Fraud for the State of Washington. He has three children and two grandchildren, and is living in Arizona with his wife of 50 years, Heleen. Very entertaining, but please have your boots on. The BS is pretty deep. Would recommend to anyone who served in the Nam.

More than 22 Catches

Funny as hell! As an old air wing Marine, I knew what he was talking about most of the time and knew real people like his crew and co-pilots. I never saw all of those types of antics, because I was drunk or hungover during 1970 and 1972. I grew up about 10 years ago so I'm almost an adult now. This is a fun read with some good war stories thrown in. Semper Fi, do or die!

A great look at the Pilots side of the war.

Great story by the Pilots who flew gunships that covered our "6s" The stress relief and the many stories of the home base side told the story. I never had anything like this as an engineer bull dozer driver. What they did to relieve the daily stress and the day by day operations. A fast and funny read. I found it hard to explain my laughing out loud to my wife. I lost control many times.
